We make audit-ready the default state
ComplianceDL was founded in 2019 by a risk officer and an infrastructure engineer who kept meeting in the middle of the same fire drill: audit season.
Our story
Every company we had ever worked at handled compliance the same way: eleven months of quiet neglect followed by one month of panic. Spreadsheets resurrected from last year. Screenshots taken at midnight. Engineers pulled off roadmaps to chase evidence that already existed in a dozen systems — just never in one place.
We started ComplianceDL in 2019 with a simple thesis: if evidence lives in your systems, software should collect it; if controls can be checked, software should check them continuously. Compliance shouldn't be a season. It should be a property of how your company runs.
Today, teams from 20-person startups to multi-entity enterprises use ComplianceDL to manage SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS, and their own internal frameworks — with audit prep measured in days, not months.
What we optimize for
Evidence over assertions
We believe trust is earned with verifiable proof, not promises — in our product and in how we run the company.
Boring in the best way
Compliance should be predictable and quiet. We sweat the reliability details so our customers never have to think about us at 2 a.m.
Speak fluent auditor
We build for the people on both sides of an audit. Clear mappings, honest scoping, and no magic-wand claims.
The team
Maren Kesslev
Co-founder & CEO
Spent a decade running risk and audit programs before deciding the tooling problem needed to be solved at the source.
Tobias Lindqvarn
Co-founder & CTO
Infrastructure engineer who got tired of screenshotting dashboards for auditors and decided evidence should collect itself.
Anaya Deshmar
Chief Compliance Officer
Former Big-Four-trained auditor who now makes sure ComplianceDL speaks fluent auditor on both sides of the table.
Rowan Calloway-Beck
VP of Engineering
Builds the integration and monitoring pipelines that quietly do the boring work compliance teams used to do by hand.
